At Laprom we diligently strive to protect goods from damage by using protective methods and materials to safely transport cargo. We are fully licensed, insured and bonded with both the Public Utility Commission of California and the Department of Transportation.

There are three standard valuation options from which to choose. These options should be discussed with your sales representative prior to the move so that the best available option may be selected for your specific moving needs.

Limited Liability
Laprom, as a licensed common carrier with the California and Interstate Commerce Commissions, provides limited liability coverage at no extra charge. Under this option the maximum liability is limited to $.60 per pound per article*, in the event of loss or damage.

*Long Distance coverage is $.60 per pound per article.

Declared Value Protection
This option offers repair of the damaged item, or reimbursement at its depreciated value. The dollar value of the shipment (or the amount for which the client would like to be protected) is estimated and stated on the Bill of Lading.

Extra Care Protection
This option involves a policy endorsement, which offers the clients their own coverage through an independent Insurance Company. This option offers that extra assurance that, should damage occur, you are entitled to repair, replacement or reimbursement.

Additionally, Laprom carries the following insurance as mandated by the California and Interstate Commerce Commissions.
